Advanced Rescue Diver Course
The NAUI Rescue Diver Course is designed to train you to identify and solve diving emergencies. You will be trained to effectively perform in-water rescue/assist techniques and procedures both at the surface and underwater for both conscious and unconscious divers. Training will also include identifying and solving problems before they lead to a diving accident, recognizing life threatening diving situations, how to handle stress and deal with panicking divers, correctly manage rescue assistants during and after rescues, provide immediate and effective post-rescue aid and accident management.
This exciting program includes:
• 10 hours of in depth lecture including rescue techniques, physiology and accident management.
• 4 hours or pool training.
• 4 Ocean dives performing surface and underwater rescues, extracting an injured/unconscious diver and accident management.
Advanced Rescue Diver graduates will be competent in handling diving emergency situations and accident management and will receive a NAUI Advanced Rescue Diver certification (does not expire).

Equipment: $60.00 (Full package if needed)
Prerequisites:
• Minimum age is 17 years.
• Minimum Advanced Scuba Diver or equivalent.
• Participants must provide all their own equipment or rent all required equipment.
• Current certification in CPR/First Aid by a NAUI recognized agency (by the issue of Advanced Rescue Diver certification card).
• Current certification in Oxygen Administration (by the issue of the Advanced Rescue Diver certification card).
• Swim 225 yards nonstop, any stroke, in six minutes or less.
• Survival swim for 15 minutes.
• Recover a 10 lbs. object from bottom of pool. (CPR/First Aid & Oxygen Administration certifications are available through I.B. Divers)
