Assistant Instructor Course
This exciting Leadership Program is designed to introduce you to diving instruction and prepare you for the Instructor Training Course (ITC). You will practice assisting students with skills and you will be evaluated on your waterman ship skills as well as multiple pool and classroom presentations.
This exciting program includes:
•12 hours of classroom study in NAUI Leadership and teaching theory
• Classroom, pool and ocean presentations
• Demonstration of “demonstration quality” waterman ship skills
As an Assistant Instructor you will be able to assist NAUI instructors with pool and ocean training.
After assisting with 4 SCUBA classes you can enroll in the instructor program.

Prerequisites:
• Minimum age 18
• Current physical
• Certified Master and Rescue Diver
• Current First Aid/CPR
• Swim 450 yards in less than 10 minutes; 25 yards underwater on one breath; survival swim for 20 minutes; tow another person 50 yards.
• Snorkel 900 yards; snorkel D&R.
• Scuba lifesaving transport; scuba D&R; scuba bailout.
• 75 logged dives
• Participants must provide all of their own gear
